Thanks, Jami.  I wanted to write about my mom, as many of you did, but things are still so hard with the loss of my baby sister two weeks ago.  I found this on youtube and loved it.

Oh my sweet sprite - I am so sorry - I didn't know.  I know there are no words that comfort really, so just feel my love and hug to you.

Thanks, Jami.  Feeling the love, and hugs always help :)  Some here have suggested I write a blog about my sister and I'm going to try to do this.  I'd like to share what made my sister, and my mom special.  One thing that makes my mom so great is how she always asks us what wonderful things can we take home from our visit with a new culture.  I grew up loving exploring different kinds of people and now, haha, am a sociologist!

Isn't it amazing how all those mama's influence us in quite ways we don't even realize until later?  I said the same thing in my mom's day post - when we are growing up we somehow think it is all our own idea!

I hope you do find the time and courage to write about your sister.  I know that there are many special things you can share with us, and I am will be so glad to read all about her.  Sisters are definitely something precious to behold, to be remembered, and to celebrate.

Love you so much!
